So yesterday we were decoding some words in Reading and I asked if anyone could use the word joke in a sentence. A student raised his hand and said, "I have a joke." I asked him what it was. He said, "Why isn't there anymore chocolate at my house?" I asked why. He replied, "Because Ms. Karlinsey came over and ate it all."
Then today we're in class, discussing what a tribe is. I asked if anyone had any ideas of what we could name our class if we were a tribe. The same student raises his hand and says, "The Karlinsey Chocolate Eaters."
